The Big Lunch and Lunar Lunch

The Big Lunch is a simple idea from the Eden Project: that as many people as possible across the UK have lunch with their neighbours annually on a Sunday in June in a simple act of community, friendship and fun.

The Big Lunch takes place annually. The date for The Big Lunch 2017 is Sunday 18 June, but you can hold a Big Lunch on any date that suits you and your community. The Lunar Lunch is a great way to bring your community together after nightfall if a day time get together won’t work for you or your neighbours.

Big Lunches work best when everybody brings a dish and shares, so you don’t need to spend money to have a great day.

If you’ve done this before, or are all set to go, you can get Big Lunch resources and information from the Eden Project Communities website. Let us know if you’d like your Big Lunch to feature in the Share Fest programme by popping the details below. If you’d like to find out more and get a bit of help and encouragement come along to a Share Fest co-design session or get in touch with us by email or social media (details below).
