Here’s a great idea to encourage re-use of things people don’t need anymore which are still working: an Exchange Box, or Give Box. This is something we could experiment with during Share Fest – just trialling the idea for a week. Let us know if you’re interested.
An Exchange Box could be:
- A large, open cupboard, placed in a public area, where people can drop off and pick up second-hand goods. People come and go as they please.
- An open shelf in a community venue or cafe which a lot of people use, where they can leave or take books, toys or other items.
