CoLab Dudley started putting down roots on Dudley High Street in the autumn of 2016, after 2 years of popping up in community spaces across Dudley borough. In early 2020 we transformed an empty retail unit on the High Street into a dedicated experimentation and exhibition space. We now have a decade of observations, sensing, experiments, imaginings and research focused on Dudley High Street. These are drawn together here.
CoLab Dudley team members Holly and Jo pool together different methods, tools and experiences to inform thinking about what street detectorism could be - as an invitation to use all our senses to discover how people move, act, interact, socialise, and respond to Dudley High Street.
