Lab Team
What if a small group of people, working in relationship, could help create the conditions for new possibilities to emerge?
We are a small team, bringing together different practices, experiences, and ways of knowing. We care deeply about how we work together.
Together, we create spaces that feel welcoming, curious, and alive. Where connection can grow, and where people can experience the joy of learning, imagining, and creating together in ways that are rooted in place and shaped by those who take part.
Our work is not something we deliver alone. The lab team is one part of a wider ecology of relationships that shapes our work. ↗ People
How we work
We cultivate community-led action, projects, and experiments. Often, this begins simply: by bringing people together.
Through this connections form. Ideas emerge. Unexpected possibilities take shape. There is often laughter. Moments of surprise. A sense of energy that comes from doing things together.
A porous team
Our team is small. Together, we make up around two full-time equivalent roles. But the boundaries of the team are porous. At different times, people we work with, from our wider network and collaborations, step into the team, and help shape what happens next.
We are different people, with different practices and perspectives. What connects us is how we choose to work - with care, curiosity, and a shared sense of possibility. Many of our relationships grow over time, becoming collaborations, friendships, and ongoing learning journeys.
How we are held
CoLab Dudley is convened by Dudley CVS, who hold and manage funding for this work. Dudley CVS have held space for and supported this work since its inception in 2014.
Stewardship, not hierarchy
Within the team, we share a range of stewardship roles. These are not fixed positions, but ways of holding and sharing responsibility for different aspects of the work. Each team member holds one or more of these roles:
- Collective Imagination Steward
- Regenerative Futures Storyteller
- Network Guardian
- Collective Learning Steward
- Financial Systems Steward
- Regenerative Governance Steward
