Bioregional Council of All Beings

How might we come into closer relationship with other beings?

Bioregional Council of All Beings

We would like to invite you to come together for a Bioregional Council of all Beings: a communal series of gatherings where we step aside from our human identity and speak on behalf of other life-forms to relate and honour our more than human kin in Dudley and the Black Country.

(Bioregioning is the beautiful art of living deeply rooted in your land, transforming communities into natural, self-sustaining ecosystems where both humans and nature can thrive together.)

A series of 3 creative gatherings and a ceremony

You are invited to be chosen by another life-form of this place; land, element, tree, bird, insect, fungus, the plant coming up through the pavement, and deepen your relationship with them using a pack of prompts that we will send you.

Through a series of 3 gatherings this autumn you will turn what you notice into poems, prose or stories written from your beings' perspective and make masks and/or lanterns to carry their likeness. Around the end of October (date tbc) we will gather in a Bioregional Council of All Beings: a ceremony in which we each speak for the being we've come to know.
